What happens when you visit a page

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States. When your browser requests a page, Vercel's servers receive your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, your browser's user agent and the referring page. That is needed to send you the page and to protect the site from abuse.

  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
  • How long: Vercel keeps request logs for a short period for security and to run the service, as described in its privacy notice. We keep no copy.
  • Transfer outside the EU: Vercel is based in the United States and certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognizes as ensuring adequate protection (Art. 45 GDPR).

Cookies, analytics, fonts and search

The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising. Fonts are served from our own server, so your browser makes no requests to font providers. The search box fetches a list of this site's pages from this site and runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.

If you email us

We use your email address and message only to reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We delete the conversation 12 months after it ends, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Our email is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM - Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany.

The crash data on this site

The figures come from NHTSA's public Fatality Analysis Reporting System. They are counts of crashes and deaths by state, road, county, time and recorded factor. This site shows no names, no narratives and no individual crash locations, so no figure describes one person.
